Greif fører Mallorca til Copa-finale og slår Real Sociedad

For kun fjerde gang i historien er Mallorca klar til at spille finale i Copa del Rey. De sikrede sig pladsen ved at vinde over Real Sociedad i en straffesparkskonkurrence, da de to hold stod lige efter 210 minutters spil.

La Real var det mest dominerende hold i første halvleg på Reale Arena, om end de ikke formåede at afslutte nogen af deres chancer. Den største kom fra straffesparkspletten, men Brais Mendez blev afvist af en fremragende stop fra Dominik Greif. Det kom de til at bøde for fem minutter inde i anden halvleg, da Giovanni Gonzalez headede et fint indlæg fra Jaume Costa i mål.

Oyarzabal’s spot kick was saved first up by Greif, and with Vedat Muriqi, Manu Morlanes, Omar Mascarell, Nemanja Radonjic and Sergi Darder all scoring, it was enough to see Javier Aguirre’s side progress.
